Stage 1: Getting Started
The journey begins with the decision to try surfing. Beginners often feel a mix of excitement and nervousness as they approach the water.
In this stage, aspiring surfers familiarise themselves with the basic equipment: a surfboard, leash, wetsuit, and potentially wax. They should also learn essential ocean safety guidelines, such as how to identify rip currents, respect local surfing etiquette, and navigate crowded lineups.
Tip: Starting by going on sandy spots such as CroCro or Devil’s Rock around Tamraght will bring beginners confidence to go into the water.
Stage 2: Paddling and Balance
After the warm-up, beginners will get into the water attached to their board. This is when they will realise surfing require some paddling and balance.
In this stage, novice surfers will be improving their balance by learning to take off onto the board and stay into an upward position. Coordination, core strength and weight distribution will be their new skills to master.
Tip: Practising yoga regularly will brought you the required core muscles to stand-up and keep your balance. At Adrenalin Surf Maroc, daily yoga sessions are offered to stretch the engaged muscles and work on your proprioception.

Once confidence in paddling and balance are there, the new surfers will go toward catching their first wave. Focus is now on reading the ocean, timing the paddling and positioning themselves accordingly.

Organization of the day of surfing at Adrenalin Surf Maroc
Before going to surf your first waves, you will have to take strength, a hearty breakfast carefully prepared by our chef with traditional and European products will be waiting for you on the Roof top of the Surf Camp.
We will then take you to the most suitable spots depending on the weather conditions and your surf level.
The surf lesson starts with the theoretical explanations of the postures to be adopted, and the reflexes to have on the waves.
Before we go to the water, we will all warm up together on the beach.
Then it went to enjoy the waves and discover the joys of surfing in Morocco.
After a minimum of two hours of surf lessons each morning, we will take a lunch break on the beach, sandwiches and local products prepared by the Surf Camp chef will be at your disposal.
We will then go back to the water for a second surf session. This is an opportunity to practice the advice of the instructors following the morning session.
Every day you will do at least four hours of surfing (two hours of class in the morning, and two hours of practice and surf monitored in the afternoon).
Our all qualified instructors but above all surf enthusiast will always be there for you, and available to follow your evolution and give you relevant tips to change your level of surfing quickly.
Whether on the beach, surf camp, in the car, or at the cafe, we are constantly in the process of giving you advice on surfing and its practice.
You can of course rest if four hours of day surfing seem sufficient to you, or enjoy ancillary activities such as horseback rides, or camel ride.
Then back at the villa:
After this intense day of surfing, we will go back to rest at home.
Floating wetsuits and surfboards, you can then take care of yourself, a shower, go to the Skate Park, Hammam or Spa.
For those who wish, Yoga classes are available, on request directly at the surf camp.
Classes are usually given after the day of surfing, but also available in the morning for early risers.
Then take advantage of our comfortable terrace to admire the magnificent sunset over the bay of Taghazout.
We will then enjoy together a traditional Moroccan dinner prepared by our chef, on the terrace or in the living room depending on the weather.
